When a booking is cancelled and a cancellation fee applies, only the commission on the cancellation fee will be charged.
What to do if a guest reached out to you about a cancellation but you haven't informed Holidu?
If a guest cancels their booking and you have not yet informed Holidu, it’s important to notify us as soon as possible. In such cases, please provide proof of the guest's cancellation (e.g., an email or cancellation request). Once we receive this proof, we will issue a refund to the guest, and the corresponding commission will be credited to your account with the next monthly invoice.
If no proof of cancellation is provided or if the guest confirms their stay, the booking will remain confirmed. This means that the full commission will still apply, as we must assume the stay was completed.
To avoid unnecessary charges, always ensure that cancellations are communicated promptly and that proof is sent if needed.
