What is the Digital Services Act (DSA)?
The DSA is a EU regulation designed to create a safer and more transparent online environment. It establishes new responsibilities for online platforms to protect users, ensure fair competition, and promote accountability.
Who does the DSA apply to?
The DSA applies to all digital services offering services within the EU, including online marketplaces, social media platforms, and search engines. This means the DSA also applies to Holidu as European vacation rental platform.

Which information does Holidu have to collect from Professional Accommodation Providers according to Article 30 DSA?
We collect the following information from professional providers:
- The provider’s registered business name
- The provider’s trade registration number
- The provider’s contact details (address, phone number, e-mail)
- A self-certification stating that the services offered by the provider comply with applicable laws of the European Union
Will any data get published on the Appartment Detail page as other Platforms do?
Yes, we will publish the following data from 17.02.2025 onwards:
- Business name (collected in Invoicing section)
- Business address (collected in Invoicing section)
- Business phone number (collected in Customer service section)
- Business email address (collected in Customer service section)
- Business registration details, if applicable (collected in Regulartory Reporting section)
Does the regulation also apply to partners outside the EU (e.g. Switzerland, UK)?
Yes, the regulation applies to you because your properties are accessible to European guests. Compliance is required for listings targeting EU travelers.
We encourage professional partners to provide the information required under the Digital Services Act until 31.01.2025 through the Holidu Partner Portal.
